Dawnelle W. Overton
Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away mid afternoon November 15, 2021. She will be deeply missed by those who loved her dearly: her husband of 48 years Alford Overton, daughters Wynona Larsen and Ronda Overton, grandchildren Keena Yarbrough, Ashton Allen, Tkeenan Duran, Krysta Trombley, TyLynn Overton, Morgan Nye, great grandchildren, Metal-Rae Duran, Ebony Allen, Kaida Yarbrough, Luna Pooley-Duran, Rosalee Nye, Jaesa Trombley, Phoenix Yarbrough, along with her canine companion Bandit who is awaiting her return.

Dawnelle was born September 3, 1955 in Ogden, Utah. She was the youngest of 6 children born to June and Marvin F. Wright. Dawnelle met Neal Overton and they married shortly after on July 21, 1973 in Sunset, Utah. They had 2 daughters Wynona and Ronda, 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. She devoted part of her life to raising 5 of her 6 grandchildren.
Dawnelle was a uniquely kind and compassionate woman. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. Her hobbies included ceramics, drawing, bead work, and creating one of a kind bed dolls. She collected owls, eagles, and dragons. She enjoyed spending time with family but most of all trike rides with her husband Neal.
One of our favorite memories of her is when she made a marble cake for her husband’s Sargent. At the time she had never made a marble cake before; so she went and got a bag of marbles and dumped them into the cake batter. Baked up a delicious looking cake, but when the Sargent bit down he broke the new teeth he had just gotten replaced.

In life we loved you dearly,
In death we love you still.
In our hearts we hold a place
That only you can fill.
We have a lot to be thankful for,
The memories through the years,
The many times together,
Full of laughter, full of tears.

She is preceded in death by her parents Marvin & June and her sister Ruth Ellen (Bobbie)
