On December 24, 1992, Dawna gave birth to her firstborn son, Sean Ramsure. On December 31, 1999, she married the love of her life, Tyrone Carter. In this union she was blessed with two additional children: a daughter, Tatianna Carter (who predeceased her), and a son, TyJahé Carter. Dawna was a devoted mother and fierce advocate for her sons. She would go to great lengths to support their dreams and aspirations. Dawna was also a dedicated employee of the Plymouth Rock Assurance Company for more than 20 years until she earned her wings and was granted eternal rest by her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 10:26 pm.
Dawna’s generosity and warm spirit was a blessing to everyone. She would drive any distance at any time to help those she loved. Dawna always put the needs and feelings of others before her own. She gave to her family and friends from her whole heart without any limits or expectations.
Dawna is survived by her sons: Sean Ramsure and TyJahé Carter; husband Tyrone Carter; parents: Elaine Kennard and Richard Woodson; sisters: Kim Woodson-Ellcock (Kim Ronald Ellcock), Tina Woodson, and Roni Whitfield. She also leaves to cherish her memory, her nieces: Kimberly Figueroa (Eric Figueroa) and Kimora Alicea; nephews: Brandyn Sparks, Anthony Ellcock, Giovanni Carbone and Kimron Figueroa; aunts, uncles, cousins, godchildren; many other friends, and her Plymouth Rock Assurance Company “family”.
She will be eternally missed!
