On Tuesday, July 5 at 11:20 pm Dawn Marie (Maag) Gocio, loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend passed away at the age of 57.
Dawn was born on July 3rd 1965 in St. Louis Missouri to Suzanne Krech. After graduating high school she studied nursing in Hawaii before moving to Colorado to be close to family.
After a chance meeting at a favorite bar and falling quickly in love, on May 20 1995 Dawn married Ric (Richard) Gocio and they would go on to raise three kids together, Jessica, Beau, and Cody.
Dawn loved to dance, her and Ric could often be found on the dance floor wherever there was one to be found. While dancing she would be giggling and smiling the entire time, making sure that everyone was feeling happy and positive. Even while Ric was spinning her dizzy.
More than anything Dawn was a fierce, loving, loyal friend and companion to everyone she encountered. It was not uncommon to find Dawn dropping everything she was doing to help those around her. This is what she was most known for, throughout her battle with sickness she was still taking care of those around her and was more concerned with how her husband and kids were doing than herself.
Dawn was preceded in death by her grandmother Mildred, father Mitsuru Nakai and sister Karen Nakai. She is survived by her mother Suzanne, her Husband Ric, her daughter Jessica and her children, Wyatt, Noah, Maverick, Jayla; Her son Beau, his wife Amber and their daughters Isabella and Aria; Her son Cody and his wife Alyssa; Her siblings, Michael, Scott, Steve, and Julie.
