Dawn Marie Faulkner, 39 of Emmitsburg, MD died Thursday, January 30, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Ministries in Emmitsburg. Born September 2, 1974 in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late William Walls and Patricia Sweden Faulkner.
Dawn was a special young woman who touched many lives along the pathway of her life. She attended Rock Creek School in Frederick and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Emmitsburg. She enjoyed being with people, especially children. She also enjoyed going to yard sales and listening to country music. Her favorite country artist was Billy Ray Cyrus. She loved hearing him sing “Achy Breaky Heart.” Dawn also loved food. Some favorites were hot dogs, pickles, and apples. She dearly loved her family, especially Austin, Aryn, and Halee, and her dogs, Shelby and Daisy.
Surviving are brothers, Raymond Faulkner and wife Cindy, and Dennis Faulkner and wife Laura of Emmitsburg; sister, Catherine “Kitty” Haines and husband Roland of Emmitsburg; nieces, Theresa Wagaman of Rocky Ridge, and Jennifer Getz and RaeAnn Wagerman both of Emmitsburg; nephews, Jason Getz, and Raymond, Brian, Christopher, Dennis, and James Faulkner all of Emmitsburg, Michael Haines of Westminster, and Brandon Stouter of Emmitsburg; best friend, Anita Cool of Emmitsburg; and many, many other friends.
