Dawn Delene Dean, 78, of Portage passed away on August 25, 2022. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan on May 11, 1944. On June 4, 1966, she was United in marriage with Samuel Franklin Dean.
She worked at the Upjohn Company for over 25 years where she received many recognition and awards. She was a lifelong member of the Order of the Easter Star of Michigan Corinthian Chapter 123 for over 50 years.
Dawn was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Dean; her parents, William and Deloris McMeekan; and her brother, Timothy McMeekan. Dawn is survived by her children, Scott Samuel Dean, Danielle Dawn (Michael) Holewa, and Corey Franklin Dean (Brian Snyder); six grandchildren, Amber Lee Slater, Somber Rose (Tyler) Griffin, Bailey Judson Slater, Tannen Delene Dean, Jacob Scott Dean, and Samantha Paige Holewa; as well as many nieces and nephews.
