Davin Lee Cottle was born on January 3, 1975 in Caldwell, Idaho to Ralph and Carolyn Cottle. He grew up in Pocatello, then as a teenager moved to Sugar City, Idaho where he graduated from Sugar-Salem High School, and then later moved to Logan, Utah; Boise, Idaho; and later on to Meridian, Idaho.
Davin was an exceptionally hard worker, he joined the US Army in 2000 and was always a well-respected soldier that often had the highest scores in tests for language skills; he spoke fluent Spanish, and was proficient in Korean, Portuguese, and Italian.
Davin’s professional career reflected the same drive and high standard of effectiveness that his military career had carried. He was a respected manager through many of the positions he held and spent some time also working on his own successful business. Davin was an exceptional man in his career, and in his own personal life, and always held a higher standard of work.
Davin was an avid reader, often times reading three books in one week. He loved doing all things with his hands and his favorite way to relax was to sit down with a complicated Lego set and create amazing images. Always incredibly meticulous, Davin would take apart each creation and make sure that every piece was organized properly back into its original set. He also loved country music and had big plans for purchasing his own truck.
Over his life, Davin really enjoyed playing sports. His sparked his love of all sports later, and especially for the Dallas Cowboys. In early life he was able to play baseball with his really good friends in little league and pony league, and had the opportunity to continue this into teenage years as well. He was a great shortstop as well as pitcher, enjoying tournaments and all-star games. Davin played basketball, and when needed could shoot the lights outs. A big highlight for him in his sports career was playing with his High School basketball team when they took the state championship. Football was another passion of his as he played throughout his life as wide receiver and linebacker. In High School golf became a part of his daily activities and he was able to go to State all three years he played. Davin was able to make amazing drives and had great finesse and grace around the greens. He and his dad had many happy years playing together, even throughout their adult life. He had a great passion and love for the Cowboys, and was very disappointed when they did not win. Later in life Davin also grew to enjoy watching car racing, he would always get excited if there was a big race on. Most of all, Davin enjoyed being with his family and playing games in the backyard. Life will be sad without you here to play.
On November 16, 2012 Davin married his wonderful wife Christy Beach in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Little White Chapel, in what they both described as the perfect and funniest wedding they had ever been to; the two were best friends and were able to share their lives together in Meridian, Idaho.
