Davie George Landis, 53 of Heber Springs, Arkansas, joined our Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 5, 2013 after a long illness at his home. He was born Friday, December 2, 1960 in San Juan, Texas. He is a beloved husband, dad, son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Jeanine Landis and a brother, Darrell Landis.
Davie was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Sugarloaf Baptist Church. He was a 1979 graduate of the Concord High School and employed by Land O’ Frost in Searcy, Arkansas working in the shipping department. Davie loved the Lord’s outdoors and enjoyed hunting, playing ball and home projects.
He is survived by his wife, Polly Landis of the home; son, Ethan Landis of Pangburn, Arkansas; stepdaughters, Tanya Phillips of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Brittany Campbell of Arizona; brothers, Marvin Landis of Odom, Texas and Larry Landis of Quitman, Arkansas; sisters, Carolyn Hall of Conway, Arkansas and Ginger Phillips of Wolf Bayou, Arkansas; several nieces, nephews and other family members.
