David Yerkes, 64, Crawfordsville, passed away Monday morning at University Hospital in Indianapolis. Mr. Yerkes had been a flooring installation expert whose memberships included St. John’s Episcopal Church and Crawfordsville Country Club.
He had been a volunteer fireman for Waynetown. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed spending time with his family.He was born on May 25, 1950, in Crawfordsville to Cat and Lois (Holt) Yerkes.
He was a graduate of Vincennes University. He married Jerilyn Heuss and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Ryan Yerkes of Chicago, Aaron (Kari) Yerkes of Noblesville, and Amy (Ryan) Stewart of Ft. Collins, CO, grandson, Hudson Lee Yerkes, sister, Diana Springer (David Miller) of Wooster, OH and his mother, Lois (Robert) Steelsmith of Waynetown.
He is preceded in death by his father.
