David “Wayne” Wood, known by friends and family as Wayne, suddenly passed away at age 80, from a heart attack on July 10, 2020. He had just celebrated his 50th Wedding Anniversary with his wife, Lucy Wood, on the 5th of July.
He retired from the Navy after 20 years, where he served as an Optical Man repairing telescopes, binoculars, and various optical instruments. He also drove long haul trucks over the United States seeing the country. In order to be closer to home and his family he drove trucks for various local companies around the Valley. Wayne later served as a maximum-security prison guard and retired from the Idaho State Penitentiary.
