David W. Bickel, 44, was born September 19, 1965, in Englewood, CO. Survived by his parents, Larry and Priscilla Bickel, sisters Jeanie Ulven (Tom) and Stefanie Bryant (Butch), Grandmother Martha Mottershaw, significant other Heather Gallagher and several Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Preceded  in death by grandparents Les and Frances Bickel, and Joe Mottershaw. The Bickel family spent much of their time together boating and camping. David had many passions including building cars, flying planes, and playing music. He Worked for Haselden Construction, and continued in construction with his own excavating business, Bickel Excavating. In 1990 he obtained his pilot’s license. David moved to Wiggins, CO in the mid nineties. David turned his attention to agriculture, hauling grain, working at Ft. Morgan airport and then eventually becoming a crop duster working for Scott Aviation. David passed away doing what he loved most on Sunday May 16, 2010, while working in Nebraska in his Rockwell Thrush Ag plane – Affectionately known as  “Jaws”. David’s plane clipped an abandoned power line which David was unaware of.
