David Warren Walt went to be with the Gods on December 3, 2021, at the age of 65. David was born in Canon City, Colorado on November 4, 1956, to Clell and Isal (Bowman) Walt of Florence, Colorado.
David loved anything to do with hunting and fishing. He was also an avid collector of guns and knives. He loved to spend his time in the mountains, being very involved with any rendezvous with black powder shooting and camping.
David was very much involved with the Odd Fellows, Rebekah, and branches of that order. He also served on the board of the Royal Gorge Manor. David worked as a CNA for 28 years with the Hildebrand Care Center before his retirement.
David is survived by his brother, Leon (Joyce) Walt of Canon City, CO, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his sister, Lena Rae Hewes; brother-in-law, Raymond Hewes; and his parents.
