David W. Lodi, 70, of Peru, died at 6:00 a.m. Sunday, January 18, 2009, at St. Francis Medical Center, Peoria. Mr. Lodi was born September 23, 1938, in LaSalle to Joseph and Frances (Schultz) Lodi.
He married Donna R. Papini on July 5, 1975, in Peru. He served in the United States Navy. He retired in 1991 from Caterpillar in Aurora after working there for 34 years. He was a member of Peru Eagles; UAW Local 145; and St. Josephs’s Church, Peru.
He is survived by his wife, Donna of Peru; 7 children, Diane Carter of Aurora, Linda Lodi of Aurora, Jim (Doreen) Dellinger of LaSalle, Jeff (Rhonda) Dellinger of Yorkville, Jack (Teresa) Dellinger of Newark, Jill (Jeff) Nichols of Yorkville, and Jan (Dan) Ingraham of Yorkville; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Elaine (David) Day of LaSalle, Darlene (John) Baima of Hilton Head, SC, and Karen (Dan) Brongel of Spring Valley.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
