The son of the late David T. and Leona Ingram Carr, he was born November 15, 1937 in Cincinnati, Ohio and went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 18,2021, at the Ardmore Veterans Center.
David served in the United States Air Force for 12 years as an airplane mechanic. He served in Libya, and Vietnam as well as stateside at Grand Fork, ND, and Goldsboro, NC. His love for repairing, building and tinkering with machines followed him his whole life. Whether it was cars, ham radio stations, teaching himself Morse Code or building his own computers.
David met and married Hulean Gooden in 1957 and to this union four sons were born, David, Michael, Robert and Terry. They lived in Oklahoma, Missouri, and Ohio. Most of David’s life was lived in Ohio where he has many family ties.
Leaving to cherish his memories are Hulean, sons, David and wife Stacy of Ardmore; Michael and wife Donna of Ardmore; Robert and husband Glen of Corinth, TX; and Terry and wife Elaine of Ardmore. He was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Shirley Ann and Betty Jean.
