David T. White, age 73, of Rock Fork Road, Morehead, passed away Monday, April 26, 2021, at St. Claire HealthCare in Morehead.
Born June 25, 1947, he was a son of the late George Washington White and Gladys Emma Branham White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Emmanuel Christopher Nathan White, who passed away June 5, 2019; three sisters, Opal Dotson, Carolyn Blevins, Rosie Logan; and three brothers, Tommy, Paul, and Charles Ray White.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Sharon Skaggs White; three children, David Mark White and Suzi of Morehead, Rebekah “Sunshine” Stupakewicz and Dan of Columbus, Ohio and Summer Bradley and Kyle of Morehead; five step children, Tina Salyers and Randy of Sandy Hook, Ronald Barker and Crystal of Morehead, Donald Beller and Revitta of Grayson, Jimmy Beller and Robyn of Morehead, and Dale Beller and Karen of Rosewood, Ohio; and a host grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Other survivors include two sisters, Hildreth Tucker of Russell Springs and Kay Fugate of Beaufort, South Carolina; nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
David was a U.S. Army veteran who served in active duty from 1969-71 and in the U.S. Army Reserves until received his honorable discharge in 1975. David was known as a hard worker. He was a heavy equipment operator for more than 40 years for Addington Brothers in Ashland, Ova Littleton Construction and Walker and Ensor Construction, both in Mt. Sterling, as well as stripping coal for different companies in the region.
David was one of the founders of the Rt. 377 Cranston Fire Department. He loved gardening, fishing, working in his lawn mower shop, antiquing, collecting Coca Cola memorabilia, and going to court days and yard sales. He was a good husband, father, and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
