David T. Keenan, 64, of Peru, died at IVCH shortly after being admitted.
Mr. Keenan was born on May 29, 1945, in Peru to Floyd and Evelyn (Lakin) Keenan. He was a graduate of L-P Township High School, Illinois State University, and received his M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University. He was employed as a Project Engineer at Sundstrand, later went into sales for Ziegenbein Associates (Wisconsin), and was then employed as an engineer at Caterpillar in Joliet and Peoria. He married Catherine Kasik on Nov. 23, 1966, at St. Marys Church in Peru. He loved being with his family, and golfing and fishing with friends. He was a member of the Society of Automotive Engineers, and a member of Spring Creek Golf Course.
Mr. Keenan is survived by his wife, Catherine, 2 daughters, Crystal (Tom) Mariani, of St. Charles, and Candace (John) Huchko, of Doylestown, PA, 2 granddaughters, Anna and Kate Huchko, 1 brother, Charles (Judy) Keenan, of Irvine, CA, and a sister-in-law, Katharine (Utz) Keenan, of Plano, TX.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, William.
