David Stevens Hook, 88, of Ocean, was called home on December 5, 2017. He is now face to face with his Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven. David was born & raised in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was there he met the love of his life and eventual bride of 61 years, Nancy. He graduated from Michigan State.
His 42 year career with Hilton Hotels Corp took the couple from Michigan to Ohio to Pittsburgh to Los Angeles and ultimately NY. Settling in Middletown, NJ in 1967 they raised their 4 children, one from each of those cities, and resided there upon retirement.
David was a man of great faith. He shared his beliefs freely with everyone he met.
He was a loving husband, devoted father, doting grandfather, wonderful uncle, caring nephew, attentive brother & thoughtful son.
He is predeceased by his parents, Dr. Alfred & Maxine Hook, his sister, Jean Ide and his son-in-law Paul Chandler. He is survived by his beautiful wife, Nancy, his loving children, Kenyon, Kevin, Cindy, Dana & Coleen, his sister Ronnie Ruple, 7 grandchildren Jessica and Rachael Hook, Justin, Tristin and Dianna Hook, Amanda Amaral and Alyssa Iddings and his 3 great grandchildren.
