David Scott Sims, 62, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life early Monday Morning May 24, 2021 surrounded by love and prayers. He was an avid outdoorsman and die-hard University of Georgia fan. The only thing Mr. Sims loved more than fishing and football were his family and friends. He is proceeded in death by his beloved mother, Thelma Louise Sims; his father, David Sims; and the love of his life, Shelia Wilson. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, January and Joshua Jones, their children Kevyn, Wyatt and Mathieu of Calhoun; his daughter and son in law, Amanda and Kyle Lawless, their daughter Emily of Dalton; and son and daughter in law, Jonathan and Jen Wilson, and their children Peyton, Caleb and Noah of Anchorage; brother and sister in law, Jackie and Tammy Sims of Chatsworth; Sister, Penny Leatherwood of Dalton; brother and sister in law, Joe and Kay Sims of Chatsworth. He is also survived by brothers from other mothers Marcus Macon and Ronnie Houston.
