David Story Owens, Jr. passed away on March 31, 2015. He was born on June 15, 1955 in Ivor, VA, to the late David Story Owens, Sr. and Evelina Owens.
David was educated in the Southampton County Public Schools and graduated from Concorde Career Institute. He worked in the medical field at NAS-JAX Naval Hospital and 21st Century Oncology. He was on the Ministerial Staff at Destiny Ministries, served eight years in the United States Marine Corps and was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Willie Mae Ricks.
David is survived by his loving wife, Carol Lynn Owens; children, Naila (Bryan) King of Atlanta, GA, David Story (Jametra) Owens, III of Jacksonville, FL, and Laquita Lawrence of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Lebron Story Owens, Jaylen Story Owens and Jayden Story Owens; granddaughters, Virginia Linn King and Asja and Kaylin Jordan; nieces, Destoni and Ariyonna Higgins; and friends, Ethel Gallagher and Steve Warren.
