He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur Reece Smith and Doris Rose Otton Smith. Survivors include his step mother, Eloise Gatlin Smith; his brother, Glenn Smith and wife Jan; his nephews, Glenn Sheldon Smith Jr. and Walter Schyler Smith, and his niece, AnnaBelle Smith Bier and husband Alex. Contributions may be made to one’s charity of choice.
