David Peter Peterson, age 67, of Schererville, passed away Monday, August 17, 2015.
David is survived by his loving wife of 36 years Diane; son David A. Peterson; sisters: Janet (David) Slupczynski, Regina (David) Rush and Valerie Cordero; brothers Dennis (Mary) Goginsky and Philip (Sherri) Goginsky; nephews: Scott (Kerri) Goginsky, Eric (Stephanie) Goginsky, Aaron Rush, Jacob Rush, Adam Rush, Zachery Rush, Peter Goginsky and Matthew Goginsky; nieces Lorna Slupczynski and Anna Goginsky; grandnephews Henry and Jack; grandnieces Danielle, Alexandra and Madeline. Preceded in death by his parents Peter and Helen Goginsky; sister Bernadine Goginsky.
David is a native of Lake County Indiana. He graduated from Bishop Noll in 1965 and received his B.S. degree from Indiana University. David went on to receive an M.S. in Business Administration from DePaul University and served three years in the Army. David enjoyed traveling across the country with his wife to watch their son compete in swimming. He was also involved in Martial Arts. Since he was young, David always enjoyed working in the yard and being outdoors. Most of all, David was known for his jokes, outgoing personality and a great outlook on life. He could always make you laugh, no matter what was happening. David will be greatly missed by family and friends.
