Mr. Middleton peacefully passed away at Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in San Luis Obispo.
DAVID ALEXANDER MIDDLETON entered this world on October 25, 1951 in Brooklyn, New York. He was born to loving parents, Henry and Dorothy Middleton, who preceded him in death. As with many young children, he was active in sports. As David grew taller, basketball became his leading interest in sports. He also loved fixing broken toys, which led to his life’s work and passion. He accepted Christ as his Savior and was baptized at an early age in Brooklyn, where he also received his formal education and graduated from Brooklyn Automotive High School.
While at Brooklyn Automotive High School, he learned a great deal about car mechanics. This led to a life time career in repairing engines of all sizes. Besides cars and trucks, David also repaired giant cranes and boats.
David united in marriage with Oralee Robinson in 1975, their union was blessed with three children, Davina, David and Dwayne. Oralee preceded him in death.
David later united in marriage with Annette Ortega, whom he lovingly called “Pinky”. David embraced her children, Phillip, Deniro and Vaughna as his very own. Their union was further blessed with a son whom they named, Raven.
David was a very loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He would often work extra jobs to provide a good living for his children and to make sure they had whatever they needed, even when he was sick or just tired. He had a very kind and generous heart. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
On Saturday, January 24, 2015, David Alexander Middleton was called from earthly labor to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife, Annette Middleton; his daughters, Davina (Andre) and Vaughna both of San Diego; his sons, David of the United States Navy (Ayumi) of Japan, Dwayne (Olga), Deniro (companion, Channelle), Phillip and Raven all of San Diego, CA; siblings, Robert of South Carolina, Eugene, Karen, Gail and William all of New York; five grandchildren, Diana, Daniela, Damani, Anira and Itxelt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family and friends who will mourn his passing, yet celebrate his life.
