Lakeland,Florida – David Medina, 35, passed at his residence on Sunday, July 24, 2022.
David was born April 26, 1987, in Jacona, Michoacán, the son of Matilde and Gonzalo. He went to Lakeland High School where he wrestled and during his senior year he won District, placed 3rd in Regionals and qualified in States as a heavy weight. He graduated from Lakeland High in May, 2005.
David was very loving, understanding, caring, intelligent and humorous. He made memorable impressions on people and lit up every room he entered. He made people feel welcomed and apart of whatever was going on. He was a support engine like no other. He was always charasmatic and encouraging people to go after the things they wanted.
He worked for Publix for 10 years where he worked his way up from Order Selecting to working behind a desk in the Parts room. He loved weightlifting and that became one of his main hobbies. He learned as much as he could and soon began a new journey in Crossfit where he attended several Trainings/Camps and studied to attain a coaching certification. Among weightlifting David loved gaming with friends, had a passion for drawing and often enjoyed listening to music. He loved hanging out with friends whether it was a night out or just at a house with company relaxing, talking and having a good laugh. He was very smart and almost always knew how to fix things or had a pretty good idea on how. What he loved most was making people laugh or smile. You can’t think of David without picturing that cheesy smile.
Surviving him are his sister and brother, Laura Medina and Eric Medina and his mother and father, Matilde Hyde and Gonzalo Medina.
