Mr. David McManus, 59, of Lanett, AL passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika, AL.
Mr. McManus is survived by his three daughters, Casey McManus, Meredith (Steven) Vasquez, and McKenzie McManus; his five grandchildren, Sky, Layla, Noah, Ben, and Luke; his mother, Peggy Wheat McManus; two sisters, Jody McManus (Bob) Elmore and Patricia McManus McDonald; his brother, Bryan Lee (Tammy) McManus; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald McManus; his grandparents, William Posey McManus and Ruth King McManus and Ernestine Wheat and Cleveland Wheat.
Mr. McManus was born on May 22, 1957 in Bethesda, MD. He attended the First Baptist Church of Lanett. He was a lifelong radio personality. He started his career at WZZZ in West Point, GA. His legendary voice took him to radio stations all across the country. He was passionate about music and making people laugh. He was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He lived life to the fullest and brought great joy to everyone he met. He will be dearly missed.
