Obituary of David M. Ugartechea
Ugartechea, David M., of Saginaw, Michigan, our loving brother, uncle, and friend went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 11, 2018 at his home. He was 72 years old. David Manuel Ugartechea was born on June 5, 1945 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Manuel and Terry (Garza) Ugartechea. Dave graduated from Saginaw High School with the Class of 1963. He then enlisted in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, 1964-1968. Upon his honorable discharge, he went to SVSU and U of M to earn his Juris Doctorate degree. In 1980, he relocated to California and worked as a tax auditor for the IRS. Dave was a die-hard conservative, lived and breathed politics, and will best be remembered for being a “walking encyclopedia.” Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Sally Tyler; two nephews: John (Kasaundra) Tyler and Michael (Krystina) Tyler; great-nephews: Johnny and Noah Tyler; one great-niece, Olyvia Tyler; and many other family members and friends. David was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Arthur Ugartechea; and sister, Bea Ugartechea.
