David Maxwell Runner, 80, of O’Fallon, IL, born October 1, 1936, in Morgantown, W. Virginia, passed away on August 12, 2017. David was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, and was a Member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church serving on many committees of the church.

He joined Equitable as a representative in 1970 receiving numerous awards including the National Citation Award eight times, the National Quality Award, a seven time Production Growth Award recipient, Builders Trophy and the Veterans Service Award before retiring from AXA Equitable as a Financial Consultant and being inducted into the Equitable Hall of Fame. He was a member of the East Side Life Underwriters, former board member of the YMCA and former member of the Wolf Branch School Board.

If you knew Dave you knew he enjoyed a wonderful sense of humor, he loved spending time with his family, friends, playing golf and was an avid painter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie (Rosalyn) Runner nee Reed. He is survived by his wife Bonnie Ann Runner nee Hempen; 3 children, Mark D. (Carla) Runner of O’Fallon, IL; Terri Marlow of O’Fallon, IL, Dodi (Quin) Netzel of Jacksonville, FL, brother; Joe (Pat) Runner of Tiverton, RI, 7 grandchildren; Jordan Runner, Angela Torres, Jesse Torres, Ashleigh Loehring, Allyson Defosset, Max Netzel, Olivia Netzel, 7 great-grandchildren; Luna Runner, Lucas Torres, Emily Torres, Jackson Warner, Jack Loehring, Evan Holland, Parker Loehring.
