David Lybrook Eccles, 83, of Columbia, MD, passed away August 13, 2018 at Howard County General Hospital.
He was born on March 17, 1935, to the late Alexander Eccles and Eliza J. Wharton in Clemmons, NC. David received his B.S. (Chemistry) from North Carolina A&T University in 1957.
David worked for the District of Columbia Police Department until retiring on disability in 1968. He subsequently worked for the State of Maryland until retiring in 1995.
David enjoyed his two grandsons, traveling, and the Washington Redskins (in that order).
David is survived by his beloved wife Francine; loving daughter Davina and her husband Elton; and cherished grandsons Derrick and Evan.
David was the youngest of 15 children, all of whom preceded him in death.
