David Leroy Horton, Sr., age 66, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died peacefully, Friday, March 8, 2019, in his residence in the presence of his family. He was born September 8, 1952 in Berrien Springs, Michigan, one of eleven children of Arthur and Erma Horton. David loved animals, especially his dogs.
He would carry a pocket full of doggy treats to give to all the neighborhood dogs. He enjoyed his yard, especially his flowers. David will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his companion of thirty years, Jesse Davison of Three Oaks; one son, David Leroy Horton, Jr. of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Jeffery Lee Horton, Anthony David Horton, Gregory Dakota Pearson, David Leroy Horton, III; two great grandchildren, Giovanni Horton, Leighton Marie Horton; sister, Donna Benson; brothers, Don Horton, Jeff Horton, Rex Horton; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; and his beloved beagle terrier mix, Jim. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Lois Jean Horton, Ellen Zebell; four brothers, John Horton, Arthur Horton, Bob Horton, and Russell Horton.
