David Lee Veerkamp, age 51, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, February 2, 2020.

David was born in Tachikawa, Japan on December 22, 1968 to Jerry Lee and Charlene (Dunn) Veerkamp.

David was a 1986 graduate of Tipton High School.  He also attended Ross Medical Education Center where he studied medical billing and coding.  He worked in medical billing and coding as well as retail at Dollar Tree and Marsh Supermarkets.  David was a mechanic by trade, working at Goodyear and Tipton Ford.

If there was ever a time David couldn’t be found, he was probably tinkering around in the garage.  He was very handy and could fix just about anything.  David loved to ride his motorcycle and enjoyed bowling.  He was always the life of the party.  David was a big jokester and really enjoyed having fun with whoever he was around.  He was raised in a military family and while he decided serving was not for him, he respected and was thankful to those that serve.  David spent five years on dialysis before he was blessed with a donor kidney three years ago.

Those left to carry on David’s legacy of love are his Mother Charlene Veerkamp; Children Brittany (Kenny Boyd) Veerkamp, Brandon Veerkamp, and Nate Hamm; Sister Shelley Albright; Nieces Lindsey Walter and Megan Albright; Great-Nieces and Nephews Luna Walter, Elliot Kirkland, Lucas Kirkland, and Noah Kirkland; Uncle Al (Jeanie) Dunn and Aunt Margie (Bob) Fouch.
