On July 11,1952, David was gainfully employed by Hoffman and Atchley Cabinets Incorporated in Chatsworth, California where he worked as a master carpenter for 40 years until his retirement in 1992. After working diligently in his new profession, that same year in 1952, David built the foundation for his house alongside his brothers at 11614 Herrick Avenue, in the city of San Fernando California. After struggling with alcohol addiction for many years, David decided he no longer wanted to be dependent on alcohol and in 1958 he became a dedicated member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He recommitted himself to the serenity prayer and fulfilled his goal of sobriety for 60 years until his death on 12/21/2021.
