David was born on April 1, 1957, in Jellico, Tennessee, to Mary (Cox) and Vinson Watson. He was a 1976 graduate of Delta High School and attended trade school for welding. David married Karen Griffee on August 30, 1991 at their home in Eaton.
David worked for Eaton EMTs, and loved deer hunting, camping, fishing, and football. He loved watching all the games especially the 49ers and IU.
