On January 29, 2016, Mr. David L. Swafford, 68, of Glen Burnie, passed away at the Hospice of the Chesapeake Inpatient Care Center. Mr. Swafford was born on May 13, 1947, in Baltimore, MD, to Charles Swafford and Leola Hickman. David attended Stranahan High School in Fort Lauderdale, Fl. Mr. Swafford joined the U.S.M.C. right after high school in 1966 and honorably severed our country until 1986, retiring as a Staff Sergeant. He fought in Vietnam and received 3 purple hearts. He was also selected to the Marine Barracks. 8th and I Street in Washington, D.C. David belonged to the Ellicott City V.F.W., the American Legion Post 40, and the Disabled American Veterans.
