WALLINGFORD – David L. Stearns, 70, of Wallingford, beloved husband of Patricia (Smith) Stearns, departed this life on Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at the Meriden Center, surrounded by his loving family and friends.
Dave was born on June 15, 1942 in Stony Creek, CT son of the late Mildred (Hendrickson) Stearns. He was a graduate of Branford High School Class of 1960. He later obtained his degree from Quinnipiac College. He began his career as a District Manager at National Cash Register in White Plains, NY. Later in life he and his wife began Clean Sweep and successfully ran the business in Wallingford for 15 years. As a father and coach he was actively involved for many years in Wallingford youth sports.
