David L. Pedler Sr., 69, of Bristol, passed away July 19, 2012, in his residence.
He was born May 19, 1943, in Elkhart.
He was born May 19, 1943, in Elkhart to Sidney A. “Sid” and Sylvia D. “Sib” (Books) Pedler.
On May 31, 1964, he married the love of his life, Jean R. (Mann) Pedler. She survives at home.
Other survivors include a daughter, Diana L. Pedler-Johnson of Wolcottville; two sons, David L. (Madelyn) Pedler Jr. of Osceola and Michael B. (Chrystal) Pedler of Union, Mich.; a brother, Dennis (Chris) Pedler of Bristol; two sisters, Janet (Dennis) Tepe of Elkhart and Karen Pedler of Union; nine grandchildren, Vanessa and Shannon Johnson, Brittany (Anthony) Grady, Ciera Pedler, Kalie Goddard, Lindy Goddard, Brandon Stringfellow, Jaimie Stringfellow and Austin Pedler; and one great-grandson, Kingston Devenney.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Pedler.
David served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He later owned and operated D & D Plumbing for more than 26 years prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Escapees RV Club and the Good Sams Club. In addition to traveling throughout the United States in the motor home, David enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends at the lake house.
