Age 58 of Owosso, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2014 at home. David was born January 6, 1956 in Detroit, MI. The son of Robert and Dorothy (Nabozny) Kiss of Owosso, he attended St. Joseph Catholic School and graduated from Owosso High School in 1974. After graduation, Dave moved to Grand Rapids, Michigan and in 1987 moved to Charlotte, North Carolina to continue working for his father as a Sales Representative. Prior to working for his Father, he was a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker. He earned his Journeyman working for his Grandfather at Mohawk Metal Forming in Dearborn, Michigan. Dave enjoyed the outdoors. Learned about hunting from his Grandfather, an avid hunter. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening or “yarding” as he would often call it. He was the ultimate “handyman” and could fix anything. And was always willing to help out a friend in need. David loved animals. His beloved Hank, Hannah and “Candy Girl” were his companions and “kids” and were always close by whether working in the yard or accompanying him on road trips. David is survived by his brother Greg (Lynda) Kiss, of Fenton MI, sisters Robbie Berndt (Terry) of Farmington Hills, MI and Becky Blaesing (Joerg) of Chattanooga, TN. Aunts Peggy Kiss of Allen Park, MI, and Phyllis Nabozny of Livonia, Uncles Donald Kiss (Pat) of Ann Arbor, and Ronald Caretti of Dearborn. Nieces Jessica and Andrea, nephews Justin, Ryan and Sean. Great nieces and nephews Jonah, Emma, Bentley and Finley, many cousins and family friend Nick Kiger. He is predeceased by his parents, Bob and Dorothy Kiss and his wife Linda (Toller) Kiss, of Charlotte, NC. The family will receive friends at Nelson-House Funeral Home on Monday, June 16th from 2:00-8:00 pm. A memorial service will be at 6pm with a rosary to follow.
