David “Jack” Bellows, 79, of Great Falls passed away on January 9, 2016 of renal failure, surrounded by his loving family.

Born November 26, 1936 in Rockford, Michigan to Otto and Hazel Rollins Bellows, Jack grew up in Grand Rapids, Michigan, graduating from Comstock Park High School.   In 1956 he married Louella Bartlett, but this union ended in divorce, and in 1973 Jack married Marilyn Partch in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. 

Jack was in the Air Force, 7th Air Police Squadron and was discharged in 1958.  When he left the military, he became a sprinkler fitter, working in that profession for the next 30 years.  He was a member of the sprinkler fitters union. 

Outdoor activities were Jack’s favorite; from hunting, fishing and camping, to the occasional round of golf.

Jack is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; daughters, Laurel Russo, Kathleen Koziej, and Jeanne Smith, all of Grand Rapids, MI; son, Scott Bellows, Edmore, MI; step-sons, Jeff Thompson, Great Falls, and Joel Thompson, Helena; sisters, Judy Haisma, Walker, MI and Gail Morris, Reed city, MI; brother, Jim Bellows, Marquette, MI; fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

Those who have preceded him in death include his parents; great-granddaughter, Raven Aicken of Michigan; sons-in-law, Joe Russo and Robert Smith, both of Michigan.
