David J.

Born in Braddock, PA, he was the son of Joseph and Marlene (Winters) Kopper. He was raised and educated in Turtle Creek, PA where he was inspired by his mentor, Dr. Ray Koontz and followed in his footsteps to earn a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at Penn State University.

David worked for nearly 40 years as a highly skilled Software Engineer with multiple patents awarded for his amazing work and unique inventions in the industry.  He worked at many startup companies and last worked with wonderful, caring people at HP.

Dave was a terrific musician beginning in grade school playing an old, refurbished sax that his grandfather had played.  He marched in the Turtle Creek Band and later played with swing band for many years.

He was a man of great faith.  Dave’s belief in the Bible was unshakable.

In addition to his wife and parents he is survived and loved by one brother, Joshua Kopper, four sisters, Donna Gamble, Christine Adams, Jennifer Blair and Elizabeth Kolodziejski and 13 nieces and nephews.
