David J. Hoffman Sr., of Stevensville, Michigan (formerly of South Bend, Indiana), passed away at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at Spectrum Health Lakeland Medical Center in St. Joseph, Michigan, following a brief battle with stage four colon cancer.

He was born on October 27, 1957 to the late Chester and Phyllis Ann (Clancy) Hoffman in South Bend, Indiana, where he resided until moving to Stevensville, Michigan in 2016.  Along with his parents; he was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel John Hoffman; and his former wife, Sharon M. David graduated in 1976 from St. Joseph High School in South Bend, IN, and then received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in Bloomington, IN.  He was a self-employed sales representative in the Manufactured Housing Industry for many years.

David is survived by his significant other, Melissa A. “Missy” Tucker of Stevensville, MI; two daughters, Samantha R. David loved playing golf; and was a huge Notre Dame, Chicago Cubs, and Bruce Springsteen fan.   He is probably in heaven right now drinking a Bud Light and playing golf with his good buddy, Boodie Hecklinski.
