David passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 9, after complications from a stroke and Parkinson’s disease. He was born in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on July 1 1933, shortly after his birth the family moved to Boise, Idaho where David lived most of his life. He attended Cole School and graduated from Boise High in 1951. David married the love of his life, Mitzie Hale, on February 22 1958; unfortunately we lost her to a tragic auto accident on August 5, 1990. Mitzie’s loss was devastating for Dave; he was never able to put it behind him.
Dave was a true family man who loved his two children and four grandchildren very much, as well as his three brothers and sister, with whom he shared many great family events.
Dave was an avid outdoorsman; he loved to go camping, fishing and bird hunting with family and friends. In his later years he took many car tours to enjoy the outdoors in his beloved Idaho.
The family wants to give a huge thanks to Autumn Winds Assisted Living in Caldwell, Idaho where the awesome staff kept Dave happy and healthy for the past few years, they have been like a family to Dave and his family. The staff often commented that he always had a smile for them, seemed happy and never complained about anything.
David will be missed by his family and anyone else that ever met him.
