David J. Fink
Our beloved son, brother, husband, and Daddy Dave made a valiant return to the love of his life Wendy Fink on September 2, 2022, with their beloved dog Crickett by his side.
David was born August 30, 1957 in Ogden to Harold and Marva Fink. Harold always commented on David’s tender heart.
David graduated from Clearfield high, the class of 1975. He had a love of travel and adventure. Which brought him to truck driving then to his home crew of Cutler Repaving. Cutler brought David to his homes away from home. He traveled all over the nation with “Bubba’s Crew”. While on the crew David met his soulmate, Wendy Moritz. On September 4, 2004 they were married in Laughlin, Nevada and started their adventure, together.
On that day, David then became “Daddy Dave” to Wendy’s three daughters, Gail, Jody, and Jaime. Before he could become accustomed to that, we made him “Grandpa Dave”. He took on the challenge like a pro and loved us kids as his own.
Dave and Wendy had a love together like nothing seen before. While they didn’t have kids together, they took it upon themselves to care and love for every young soul they met. They had a love and admiration for the Navajo Nation and the outpouring of love from their brothers and sisters has been overwhelming.
Later, they moved back to Roy, Utah where they both lived out their days. Dave worked with Kapp Construction driving a water truck. They were so kind to him while he helped escort Wendy around to her doctor appointments.
Dave is survived by his mother Marva Fink, Clearfield. Sisters, Patsy (Steve) McDaniel, Neosho, MO, Helen (Jef) Boman, Roy. Bonus-Daughters Gail (Kevin) Perkes, West Point, Jody (Matt) Howard, Roy, Jaime Morris (Lex Champneys), Taylor. 5 Grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. And MANY of you that he considered as brothers, sisters, and extra children. (Ronnie and Lonnie, New Mexico). He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Fink and Brother, Carl Fink.
Special thanks to Myers Mortuary. The Residence at Cadence Apartment Complex. And a deep thank you to Rich and Mona Mayle for your continuous love and support to both our parents for all this time.
