David J.C. Riley, 42, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at his residence in Ft. Wayne.  He was born July 10, 1971, in Muncie, the son of Dana Riley, Sr., and Ruby Carol Wooten Riley. He attended Muncie schools and graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1990.  David was presently enrolled at Brown Mackey College in Ft. Wayne.

     He served in the Army for sixteen years, and currently was serving in the Indiana Army National Guard as an Infantry Platoon Leader. At one time he was employed at St. Gobain in Dunkirk.

     He was a representative for the occupational therapy group at Brown Mackey College.

     Surviving besides his parents are his brother Dana Riley, Jr.; his sister, Mary Vannatta, (husband, Gary); his children Keesha Riley, Sebastian, Isabella and Sophia; his grandmother, Elizabeth Wooten; his fiancé, Rachel Wedler; his nephews and niece, Tyler and Trenton Riley, and Travis and Rebecka Vannatta; Rachel’s children, David, Olivia, Bryceton and Kennedy; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

     He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bill Wooten, and Columbus Junior and Betty Jo Riley.
