David J. C. Evans, age 65, of Ansonia and formerly of Milford, beloved husband of the late Mary-Ann Smykla Evans passed away on Monday, July 4, 2011. Born on November 25, 1945 in Detroit, MI, he was the son of the late David F. H. and Mary Riddle Evans. David was a Vietnam Veteran and served with pride and honor in both the US Army and the National Guard. He was a computer programmer for twenty-one years at Union Trust Bank, a Consultant for several years at Keane Associates and was employed late in life at Securitas. He was a devoted and loving father, grandfather and uncle. David enjoyed fishing and the outdoors, volunteered with the Boy Scouts and was an avid reader and model railroader.
He is survived by his children, David E. R. Evans and his wife Cheryll of Orange, Joseph C. B. Evans and his wife Kristine of Guilford and Theresa Fitol and her husband Brian of Orange. Also five cherished grandchildren, Matthew, Elliot, Abigail, Todd and Kylie, many loving nieces and nephews and extended family. David was predeceased by his sister, Emily Evans Bowyer Walsh.
