Mr. Hatcliff died Monday, October 27, 2014 at Heritage of Bel Air.
David was born April 18, 1941 in Lincoln the son of Charles and Daisy (Mead) Hatcliff. He graduated from Lincoln High School, and then began working for Goodyear in Lincoln. He married Carol Jean Bates in April 1961. The couple lived in Omaha where he began working with the Nebraska State Patrol before being transferred to Scottsbluff.
He married Mavis Voigt on April 17, 1982 and the couple moved to Norfolk in 1982 after he received a promotion. David retired on July 30, 1993.
David is survived by his wife Mavis Hatcliff of Norfolk, his children Jennifer Hatcliff of Lincoln, Jeffrey Hatcliff of Fremont, Susan Hatcliff of Texas, and Melissa (Aaron) Ogan of Ankey, IA, two sisters, Charlotte (Jess) Smith and Helen Scott all of Lincoln, and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Carol and one brother Eldon.
