David Hall Brumfield, 70, of Youngsville passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Appomattox, VA a son of the late Anne Elizabeth Hall Brumfield and Norman Isaac Brumfield. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Robyn G. Brumfield.

David was raised in the Chesapeake, VA area where he developed a passion for Horsemanship, which was passed down from his father who had served in the United States Cavalry. He enjoyed old photographs of his father’s service to our country. David, as a younger man went to work in the construction business and in his spare time competed in rodeos up and down the east coast.

David joined the Choate Construction Company in 1997 in Raleigh N.C. In 2007, David and Robyn found their dream home in Youngsville NC where they enjoyed gardening and home projects together. In 2017 David and Robyn retired so they could spend more quality time together, sharing holidays and celebrating with their children and grandchildren.

David is survived by his children, Shannon L. Stephens and her husband Ronnie of Chesapeake, VA, Christina L. Amendolare and her husband Michael of Virginia Beach, VA, Michelle B. Etheridge and her husband Frank  of Rocky Mount NC, and David I. G.  Brumfield and his fiance Jackie Eskew of Youngsville, grandchildren Audrey “Summer” Barnes, Anthony “Tony” M. Amendolare, Carson  Hall Etheridge, David L. J. Brumfield, Madison A. Brumfield  and Kathryn Lee Brumfield, siblings, brother Robert “Bobby Clay Brumfield and I. Lee Brumfield along with two nephews and a niece.

 He will be dearly missed by his family.
