David H. Knowles, 75, of Ocean Township, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Camden, NJ to the late F. William and Catherin (Borquin) Knowles. David grew up in Audubon, lived in Middletown before moving to Ocean Township in 2012. David graduated from Drexel University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sanitary Engineering. He loved trains and was a member of New Jersey Live Steam Club, Pennsylvania Live Steam Club, and Long Island Live Steam Club. David was a member of the Association of Environment Authorities and the Water Environment Federation.
Surviving is his loving wife of 29 years, Peggy (Conlan) Knowles, his two beloved daughters; Patricia of Lansdale, PA and Karey and her husband Mark of Colts Neck, his two brothers; Larry and his wife Rita of Louisville, Kentucky and Warren and his wife Martha of Georgetown, Delaware. Also surviving are his four cherished grandchildren, Kathleen and Nicholas Nichini and Ashley and Erin Hogan.
