Dave Felger, 82, died peacefully at home on January 15, 2020 in Newnan, Georgia, after a long battle with ALS. Family and friends surrounded him. Dave was born in Youngstown, Ohio on August 2, 1937. He grew up in New Middletown, Ohio where he graduated from Springfield High School. Upon graduating, he met the love of his life, Patty Gubany, and they settled in Bountiful, Utah. Dave retired from the petroleum industry after thirty years. Dave and Pat lived in many states and retired in Georgia. If he had his choice, he and his wicked sense of humor would have been in a chair in Key West with a Jack & lemonade in hand. He enjoyed listening to Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson, spending time outdoors, gardening, and chopping trees. He loved shortcuts, although his idea of a ten-minute shortcut often turned into hours. He had a contagious smile, and even through his long illness, it would brighten up the room. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his five daughters and all of his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Pat, of sixty-two years, his five daughters (Dana, Lee. Amy, Muffie, and Nettie) his seven grandchildren (Josh, Nick, Emily, Erika, Hayden, Garrett, and Gabby), his great-granddaughter, Norah, and his brother Robert. He was preceded in death by his parents Russell and Grace Felger and his sister Nancy Little.
