David E. Sasur, 72, born in Palmer, Massachusetts to Edward and Grace Sasur on March 7, 1948, passed away on December 5, 2020 after a courageous 38-day battle at Hartford Hospital due to complications of the COVID-19 virus, David passed peacefully with his wife and two sons by his side. David was a degreed mechanical engineer, who had a proud 46-year career as an Engineer and Inventor for Wm. E. Wrights Company in West Warren, MA, where he was awarded several patents and brought many products to life throughout his career. As a selfless, family-first, devoted husband, father and Dziadziu, David’s profession as an engineer transcended into his personal life where his creative mind, problem-solving and do-it-yourself skills survive in our memories, personalized furniture, home remodels, and the many life lessons he taught his family. David had many personal passions throughout the years, enjoying fishing, camping, working on Corvettes and attending car shows. He was also an avid cruiser for the past 26 years with his wife and family. His favorite thing was simply spending time with his family, sharing a meal, and telling stories where you really saw him relax, be funny and enjoy life. David is survived by his wife Patricia of 49 years, his eldest son Jeremy, his youngest son Tim, his daughter-in-law Kristen, his sister Betty Koss, his brother-in-law and childhood friend Kenny Koss, his three grandchildren Landon, Julian and Ella, and his nieces and nephews. He was a role model, whose legacy will continue to live on in his family. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him, we love you David.
