David E. ShinnDavid E. Shinn of Palmyra, died Saturday, August 14th, at Samaritan Inpatient Hospice in Mt. Holly, he was 74 years of age. Born in Burlington Township on July 1, 1936, he was the son of the late Kenneth & Stella Shinn.
A United States Navy veteran, David served his country honorably from 1954 until his discharge in 1962. He retired after 30 years as an accountant for General Electric in Moorestown. A former member of St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Willingboro, he was more recently a member of Epworth United Methodist Church in Palmyra. A member of the Methodist Men’s Club he was also a Certified Lay-Speaker for the Methodist Church. A member of the R.C.A. Lunch Club, he was also a regular attendee of the Walnut Street Theater in Philadelphia. He enjoyed skiing and was a member of the Mt. Laurel Ski Club. An avid collector of various types of collectibles one of the things he loved to do most was just going out. Husband of the late Elaine Shinn, who died in 2001, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law: Shery & Lee Foshay of Palmyra, his two granddaughters; Sydney and Anna Foshay, his sister: Judy Esposito of Ballston Spa, NY and his brother; Kenneth Shinn of South Carolina.
