David Earl Schnell the son of Clair and Goldie Koppin Schnell was born on June 15, 1937 in Grinnell, Iowa. He was a graduate of Sully High School in 1956. David served his country in the U. S. Army from December of 1960 to September of 1962.
On February 9, 1964, David was united in marriage with Andrea J. Alford in Newton, Iowa. They were blessed with three children, Kert, Kendra and Marsha. David was a lifelong farmer in rural Sully. He was a lifelong member of the St.
David died on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Accura Healthcare of Newton East in Newton surrounded by the love of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to honor David’s memory are his wife of 55 years, Andrea; son, Kert J. (Kimberly) Schnell of Newton; daughters, Kendra J. (Mark) Hay of Lynnville and Marsha L. (Josh) Cooper of Pella; his five grandchildren, Marshall (Kim) Hay, Madison (Trisha) Hay, Noah, Elyse and Lily Cooper; his great-granddaughter:, Paisley; and his brothers, Richard (Linda) Schnell of Sully and Ronald Schnell of Pella.
