David E. Cattani, 71, of Apache Junction, AZ, passed away Saturday (September 12, 2015) at his residence. He was formerly of Ladd.
He was born December 29, 1943 in Ladd, IL to Louis & Esther (Rivasi) Cattani. He had formerly been married to the former Janeen Bornemann and then he married the former Jill Provance. Jill preceded him in death.
He is survived by a daughter, Janelle (Douglas) Herbolsheimer of rural Princeton; a son, Rich (Lindsay) Cattani of Hennepin; 4 grandchildren: Matthew Reynolds, Martin Herbolsheimer and Jacob and Kara Cattani; a brother, Damon (Mary) Cattani of Manitowoc, WI and a sister, Sue Streba.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Richard Cattani.
David graduated from Hall High School and then served in the United States Navy during the Cuban Blockade.
He retired from Air Products & Chemicals.
He was a member of the Apache Junction American Legion Post 27 and formerly a member of the Princeton Elks Lodge and the Princeton Moose Lodge.
He was very active in Youth Baseball where he coached and umpired on the High School level.
