David E Anthony, 75, of Anderson, passed away on April 14, 2017 at Community Hospital, Anderson.
He was born on September 18, 1941 in Anderson, where he resided all of his life. David graduated from Anderson High School, and he served his country in the Army. He retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 36 years of service. He was a member of New Beginnings Church, and was a former member of American Legion; Elks Lodge; and Moose Lodge of Anderson. He enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
David is survived by his children, Debbie (Alvin) Ramsey, Steve (Sherry) Smith, Ken Smith, Randy Smith; siblings, James D. (Judy) Anthony, Ruth Ann (John Walker) Miller, Mary Edna White, Laura Jayne Anthony; grandchildren, Patience Ramsey, Brandon Smith, Jessica Smith, Christopher Smith, Rachel Smith, Steve Smith, and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Hattie “Pat” Anthony, second wife, Diana F. Anthony, mother, Mary Anthony, father, Donald G. Anthony, and his sister, Neisha M Anthony.
